Remember
Remember I told you I did Susan Mellen’s hair last month. She is the lady who was falsly accused of being involved in a murder she did not commit. She did 17 years in prison and has been doing segments of her story on TV. Her story broke worldwide after her release. This is her and I the next day after her release.. I colored and trimmed her hair. You cannot really tell her hair color because we are right under the florescent lights outside.
I am making her pretty again. Tomorrow she will filming on *Nightline*
I’m not nervous about doing her hair anymore. She is so positive cute and energetic…she doesn’t look like she could hurt a fly..let alone torture and burn a man to death… We think we have problems. I can’t imagine being in prison for 17 years for something I did not do. I wasn’t nervous because I was doing a killer’s hair..I was nervous about making sure she liked her hair. My work will be on TV. I have to represent and make sure her hair is on point. I feel so blessed to have met her. I don’t think the paparazzi will show up at the shop again today. I need to make sure I look nice…I don’t want to be looking all crazy on TV if the paparazzi decides to show up again. I Also have to make sure I go clean the salon..you see I don’t work in a cute salon. There are nothing but senior citizens. My coworker has the shop looking like a covelescent hospital. I don’t mind. I’m just so hyper I feel like I’m going to knock one over when I rush to rinse bleach out of client’s hair.
I think the owner is Buddhest. She lights up three incents daily facing the door and does some sort of ritual. It smells like Venice Beach. I live Venice Beach but not when I’m working. Its enough that I have to endure nasty perm smell. I don’t do perms unlessed I’m begged. The seniors get perms all day..ugh…
It’s a small price I have to pay for working in a friendly salon that allows me to bring my diversed clientele. Its not easy to find a shop that does not discriminate against certain races. Trust me I know. I’ve worked in at least eight different salons that I can remember…I found that the Chinese folks are the least dramatic people. They are cool with my black, Hispanic and all over the world clients. I will stay there for now until something spectacular comes along.
When you have time Google Susan Mellen and the demonic false witness June Patty. This story is what Hollywood suspense stories are made off.
I gotta get ready for work now..you all have a nice day!..(waves)
