No doubt there are amazing makeup artists. I know because I’ve seen them in actions when I use to work behind the scenes on a few music videos. The thing now is how much of it is actually good work or just a whole bunch of filtered photos? I follow a bunch of flawless makeup artists on Instagram..their work is immaculate. But when I looked closely you can tell they use makeup apps..for example..while I’m over here drooling over how spectacular they apply eyelashes when I looked close up it was an app. The girl’s BLACK eyelashes were over the girl’s blond hair. She had her hair towards her face..I was like hummm.

I took this picture earlier..I wear a hat out in the sun because my skin burns since I am doing the obagi bleach treatment on my skin to get rid of some blothes. If I’m out in the sun my skin gets worse than it was before. I used an app to smooth my skin here on this picture and I also used the modiface makeup app to make my pink lipstick look ritcher. I don’t like using apps when I post pictures of my makeovers…but seriously I’m going to cave in and start using them more. You see I don’t have a  awesome camara or Ipad. I use my galaxy 2 cell phone. My pictures don’t do any justice on my hair work or makeup. Unfortunately it has resorted to joining the club and using filters to make the colors pop out. There was a makeup convention in Long Beach that I did not know about. I want to go one year. I also need to order the Mac pro card so I can start getting makeup at a discounted prize and learn the tricks of the trade to make my makeovers get more noticed.

One last thing. I am not going to use the 99 cent store eyelashes for pictures anymore. I noticed it looked like my model had spider legs on her lashes. It looked great in person but on camara it looked exaggerated. Not cool. I got a late start in social media but its all good. I will keep challenging myself to perfect my makeup skills until I get a 100 likes on one of my social media pictures.
