I’m getting into makeup one day at a time. There are many makeup artists who are charging between $65-$140 and up..I’ve always wanted to do makeup but never had the time and money. I’m hungry and ready now. I did my client’s makeup on the left and she had her make up done by a professional make up artist in the right she paid $65. I take a while to do the makeup because I’m not just applying it…I’m actually reading your face paying attention to your least desirable features and your best ones as well. I stopped and read my makeup book for some pointers in the middle of me doing my client’s makeup. I discerned and learned that I cannot do everyone’s makeup the same. We are not from the same cookie cutter. Some people have wide noses, some have fishlips, some have big expressive eyes and others have tiny eyes. I’ve been around makeup artist and I ask many questions….I never stop learning, you can’t stop in this buisness. My client loved how I did her makeup much better than the one she pain for on the right.. I contoured her nose to make it appear smaller and did lots of contouring to make her face look slimmer..it took a long time since I was working her between clients on saturday. I’m offering my client’s one complimentary makeup session to test out my skills. If they decide to come back to me for a makeup appointment then I will charge them. I have to practice working on the eyebrows and drawing the winged tipped eyeliner. Practice makes perfect. So what do you think? Did I do a good job. My work is to the left. ๐
