Let me tell you about a cute lil beach city named Manhattan Beach, to this day I find it to be one of the most Alabama and Texas slow mentally. A client close friend of mine told me me today about a black woman having a tire bomb thrown in her front yard because they don’t want her living there, this was just a few years ago. In fact I knew a person who worked in Manhattan Beach who had her coworker fired because she did not agree with her coworker having kids by a black man…say wa??!!! How is it any of your buisness who your coworker gets knocked up by? Karma got her back and she got fired a year and a half later. I’m irritated as I type this. When I first started my social media hustling adventure I was hash tagging every thing and anything I could thing of on Instagram so that I could get new clients. One day I hashtagged a picture of a hair cut I did and some snobby person from Manhattan Beach asked me why did I post my picture in their city. Like seriously you have a lot of nerves trying to control where I hashtag. Unless you are paying my sky rocket Mobile cell phone bill you cannot tell me where I can hashtag. Not every single person in Manhattan Beach has that mentality there are a some normal level headed people that live there but for the most part the city has a heavy energy mentally like “It’s us against the world.” They don’t like to shop or adventure out their lil city…anything outside of Manhattan Beach is ghetto to themπππ…..the irony….I got a client who’s a doctor from Manhattan Beach who saw my work on Pinterest and started coming to me. My client is super nice and humble. It makes me wonder how she had the guts to get her hair done by me since I’m brown?..Hehe…….we attract what we are. I don’t have issues with people’s skin colors and so I don’t attract that type of clientele. I’m blessed with such a diversed clientele from surgeons to strippers to millionaires to broke section 8 folks. I love them for who they are not for where they live. My job is to make sure you leave happy with your hair and to make sure you book your next appointment before you leave.π€β€π€
I’m going to hashtag ALL my Instagram pictures to #manhattanbeach and stick it to them.ππ I’ve gotten some followers from there that like my work after 5 years of me hash tagging beach cities. Seems like the lil city is making sloooow progress they are slowly stepping out into the real world. I guess the Twilight Zone mentally is getting old for them…ok done venting..LOL!
Here’s a before and after job I did today. How do you like it?πππππ€π€π ππ
