I got a new client from yelp on Saturday. She wanted platinum highlites it came out good no breakage but the crown area was a little brassy and the bottom had grabbed the little bit of a violet tone. Nothing that you could really notice unless the hair was wet or in certain lighting. You had to really pay attention to really notice. I hadn’t eaten all day. I was barfing from a muscle relaxer I took the nite before because my back was hurting. The client wasn’t happy she started crying I told her I was willing to work on her hair again and allow me to make her happy and fix the problem. All I had to do was through in few highlights on the crown area and abdeep conditioner to asorb the resisdue of the toner. Her hair is going to turn platinum blond after a couple of shampoos. She wasnt having it. Told me she never wanted me to touch her hair and stormed out. Of course I wasnt going to charge an unhappy client. I spent 2 and half hours with her and lost out on a $120 dollars. I wasn’t able to pay my new assistant. It’s all good my assistant understood. I’m probably going to get a bad yelp review. Oh well. What do do. It’s not going to take my loyal clients away but it might scare new ones. This is the part of the buisness that can take you down if you let it. Every day is not going to be a perfect day and you cannot make every single person happy. The last time someone stormed out angry and told me off was 18 years ago. I guess it could be worse. Had this happened a few years ago I would of pushed me into a depression since I take my work seriously. I’m learning to bounce back sooner, don’t stay down, learn the lesson and move on. PS I did not barf in front of the client. Nope.π
