Oversharing: When Venting Backfires

By

Venting can feel relieving, but sharing too much personal information with everyone can lead to bigger issues. Not everyone values discretion, and when you share sensitive details, someone might bring it up at the wrong time or place, leaving you embarrassed. Worse, if they share your personal matters with others, it can sometimes become a bigger problem than what you originally vented about, leaving you feeling very humiliated.

Our personal challenges aren’t for everyone to hear, and oversharing can sometimes create more stress than it relieves. Instead, choose a few close, trusted individuals to confide in, or consider expressing your thoughts in a journal where you can reflect privately.

Mothers! More than likely they will not judge, they will listen and not share our personal business with anyone. Friends can’t always be trusted. Especially if a friendship deteriorates.
