One Step to Serenity

By

For men and women dealing with anxiety, this is for you.

Don’t worry about tomorrow,
Just do your best today.
Tomorrow will take care of itself,
With the energy you spend today.

All the worrying in the world
Won’t change a thing, you see.
Anxiety does not add life,
It won’t set your problems free.

Anxiety is energy that
Doesn’t shift or change a thing.
It sits and stirs, restless and chill,
While peace is what you bring.

If you’re feeling anxious, pray,
Write down your blessings, feel the sway.
Call an old friend, treat yourself,
Buy that purse or groom yourself.

Get a fresh haircut, beard groomed just right,
Feel that confidence, strong and bright.
Buy a bouquet of flowers, bright and true,
Give all the love you deserve to you.

Put your worries onto paper,
See them laid out clear and neat.
You’ll find you have more control,
And one by one, the stress depletes

And remember to take deep, long breaths. I am a true believer in writing down emotions. At times it’s easier than verbally expressing them.

Writing down anxieties sounds effective. I will try that. It will be like praying and writing at the same time. Thank you! 😘
